After School Programs
November through May Kierland Golf Club offers an after school program designed for kids of all ages and skill levels. With a 5:1 student teacher ratio, it gives the kids an opportunity for more personal attention with the instructors. We offer three seperate classes, with each class pertaining to a different skill level. The program includes a stair step method to prepare for high school golf.
Wildcats (7 or older): This class is for the beginning level student who hasn't played golf or who has just picked up the game and wants to learn more. This class will stress the fun-damentals needed to love the game. The group will meet every Tuesday from 4:00-5:00 for four weeks to work on basic full-swing skills, putting, chipping, and etiquette. The price for the Tuesday class is $80 per student for the four weeks.
Sundevils (9 or older): This class is for the intermediate student who has some experience and has played a few holes and would like to attain an improved level of play. The group will meet every Wednesday from 4:00-5:30 for four weeks and work on full swing fundamentals, short game skills, rules, and etiquette, and some on-course play. The price for the Wednesday class is $120 per student for the four weeks.
Lumberjacks:This class is designed for the advanced student who may need more playing experience and wants to begin competing in tournaments. Swing fundamentals and short game will be reinforced and course management will get extra attention. The class will meet every Thursday from 4:00-6:00 for four weeks. This class is a graduation method only, and all new participants will begin in the Tuesday or Wednesday class. The price for this class is $160 per student for the four weeks.
